The ALT1-C Chronograph

I really like the look of this watch, it has a simple yet high end look to it. Of course, any time a watch is called a "chronograph", you can add a zero to the price. Let alone when it's hand made. However, it's not as bad as you think, costing around $4700. Here's the details:

The ALT1-C chronograph is true to all of the technical values and principles that form part of any revered automatic timepiece. Integrating an impeccably modified Valjoux 7750-SO BI AC movement, this watch brings together the centuries-old art of watch making with the best of technical innovation, precision and durability. Vapor-resistant, the convex glass face has an anti-reflective, scratch-resistant coating applied to both sides. The sleek black watch face is complemented by a black leather strap with cream stitch detailing. The watch is securely fastened with a solid stainless steel deployment buckle and engraved security clasp.

Each Bremont wristwatch is carefully handmade, adjusted and tested at their Swiss Biel-Bienne workshop. All the watches are made in limited quantities and individually registered by Bremont.

You can check out more pictures of the watch at the Couturelab site HERE.

Classico U-1001 Beige

I can't decide if I like the look of this watch or not. It also comes in blue and orange, though I like the beige the best out of the three. Here's the details:

The most rugged U-Boat watch yet, the Classico U-1001 boasts a water resistance rated to withstand pressures at 1001 meters below the water's surface. The style of the case also re-invents the traditional Classico case with the use of grade 2 titanium, and new forms for the bezel and crown. The multi-layered dial is composed of one black layer cut out to expose a beige sub-layer in place of the hour markers.

Movement: Automatic Swiss movement with U-Boat-engraved rotor.

Case: Grade 2 Titanium case with 55mm diameter, thick sapphire crystal, screw-down crown protecting cap, hinged to the case, pressure escape valve at 8 o'clock, engraving on the side of the bezel and case.

Bracelet: Specialize U-Boat black rubber strap with titanium engraved plate and deployant buckle.

Dial: Multi-layered black dial with beige recessed sandwich numerals and index markers and photo-luminescent hands.

I have no idea what one costs, but seeing as how you have to contact them to even get a price quote, I'm guessing that it's not going to be cheap. You can check them out HERE.

Invicta Men’s Python Collection Watch

Invicta makes some decent looking watches, and they're actually priced pretty well. Not only that, but Amazon is having a big sale, so the watch pictured to the left, and several other models, are $100. About the watch:

It has: Precise, high-quality Swiss-Quartz movement, Flame-fusion crystal; Brushed, polished and textured gunmetal case and bracelet, Chronograph functions with 60 second, 30 minute and day of the week subdials; date function, Blue dial with luminous hands and silver-tone hour markers; Black unidirectional bezel; Gun metal crown and pushers; Tachymeter on inner bezel, and it's water-resistant to 330 feet (100 M).

You can check this model out HERE.

Not sure how long the sale will go on, but if you're interested, I'd grab one real soon.

The Perrelet Split-Second Chronograph

Perrelet Split-Second ChronographI love the look of this watch.

The original was made with gold, and limited to only 50 pieces. This is a version of it, made with stainless steel, and hopefully is a lot cheaper. Though I'm sure it's still going to cost a pretty penny or two.

There's not a whole lot of detail on the watch, other than the specs, which I added below, along with the marketing blurb:

In homage to Louis-Frédéric Perrelet for his exceptional split-seconds counter, which he patented in 1828, this split-seconds chronograph ( “ rattrapante ” ) collection represents the innovation and openness of the brand. Apart from the extraordinary complexity and decoration of he movement, watchmaking enthusiasts will appreciate the elegance of the finish on the glass discs, which have taken the place of additional hands. The result of a perfect harmony between tradition and modernity.

Movement: P-241, self-winding

Function: Hours, minute, second, date and split-seconds chrono

Power Reserve: 46 hours

Case: Stainless steel with DLC treatment, Ø 43.5 mm

Water resistance: 10 meters

Dial: Skeleton, black, Arabic

Bracelet: Natural rubber, black

Warranty: 3 years

You can also check it out at the Perrelet site HERE.

    The Wristwatch Camcorder

There is all kinds of fun you could have with this watch. I wish it ran for more than two hours, but that's actually pretty good. Here's the details:

This is the analog watch with an undetectable camcorder that provides hands-free video recording. The camera's lens is the size of a pinhole and is located at the two-o'clock position, yet the watch's hands never obscure the lens. The watch's 1.3 MP camera records video at 352 x 288 resolution, storing up to 12 hours of AVI-formatted video onto its built-in 2GB flash memory. The microphone is located on the outer case. Quartz movement provides reliable timekeeping. The camera's rechargeable battery provides up to two hours of use from a four-hour charge using the included USB AC adapter (which also allows you to copy your videos to a PC running Windows).

The watch will set you back $150, and you can pick one up at HERE.

    The Breitling Chronomat B01

I'm pretty sure that the Chronomat B01 isn't going to come cheap, but I couldn't find a price for one.

The watch looks great, though I'll admit that I've never been a huge fan of the large numbers around the dial. Here's a little bit about it from the press release, but there's a lot more at the site HERE.

    The ultimate chronograph
A powerful, unique and quintessential design, masterfully reinterpreted. A selfwinding chronograph movement entirely developed and crafted in the brand workshops. A stunning presence on the wrist distinguished by a blend of strength and elegance. Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 Moon Landing 40th Anniversary Watch

Yeah, I really want one of these. Not that I can get one, but that's beside the point. Here's the details:

The 40th Anniversary Limited Edition is powered by OMEGA’s calibre 1861, which shares its lineage with the calibre 321 used in the original Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. The stainless steel case body is delivered with a stainless steel bracelet which has been upgraded to include OMEGA’s patented screw and pin system.

The small seconds counter is a medallion which features an adaptation of Apollo 11’s famous mission patch. The watch’s hour, minute and the red-tipped chronograph seconds hands are coated with Super-LumiNova.

On the dial, the legend 02:56 GMT – the exact time that Neil Armstrong made his “one small step” onto the Moon – is displayed in red. The dial is protected by Hesalite, the same robust, shatter-proof acrylic crystal found on the original Moonwatch. A small, distinctive OMEGA logo has been etched evocatively inside the Hesalite crystal.

The Apollo 11 “Eagle” mission patch is stamped on the caseback along with the words, “THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON”, the limited edition number (0000/7969), and “July 21, 1969”, the date Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first stepped onto the moon’s surface.

You can check it out HERE. No idea where you can actually find one though.

    President Obama’s Vulcain Watch

Vulcain has been giving the U.S. Presidents a watch since the 1950s. Their latest gift is a stainless steel Vulcain Cricket Anniversary Heart watch.

The watch has a partial skeleton dial, is 42mm wide, and water resistant to 50 meters. The back of the watch is also skeletonized, and is etched with the President's name, title, and date that he took office.

The retail price of the Vulcain Anniversary Heart watch is around $6,500, although it won't be exactly like the President's. Also, if you're not excited about the steel look, you can buy one in various other tones along with 18k gold.

You can read a little more about the watch over at Luxist HERE.
