Create A Swimming Pool At The Touch Of A Button

The idea here is pretty simple really, but I'd love to see a video of how they actually pull it off. Technology Pools has designed a movable pool floor that you can adjust to any depth. Here's the explanation from their site:

Movable swimming pool floors have made it possible to maximise the use of your swimming pool with variable depth and also use the space taken up by the swimming pool for other purposes. Imagine. With the touch of a button, an entire pool floor is fully adjusted to any water depth or becomes level to pool surround thus serving as a dry deck or dance floor. It's no longer an imagination but a reality. We can provide movable swimming pool floors that have multiple programming capabilities and can offer multiple uses of the same space. For example, a typical basement poolroom can double up as party hall.

Based on your requirements, Technology Pools can engineer a movable swimming pool floor system for a new pool project or retrofit an existing facility. That will give you the ability to turn your indoor pool into a dance floor, a pool hall into an entertainment or reception area, or an outdoor pool into a parking space all at the press of a button.

You can check out the Technology Pool site HERE

2000 Acre Private Island Up For Sale

Owning your own island is pretty much only for the seriously rich, and Ronde Island in Grenada might be only for the top of that group. The island is over 2,000 acres in size, and will be the largest private island located in an area of the Caribbean that's growinging in popularity. It's completely undeveloped, which will allow it's future owner to step in and do whatever they would like with it. It does also have some charm that would make it a nice vacationing spot, such as sea-bottom drop-offs over ‘bottomless’ vertical walls, coral-encrusted canyons and even a swim-through cave which opens to an underground cavern decorated with stalactites and quartz crystals.

The location is currently listed by Private Islands Inc. for $100 million dollars, which is the highest price tag of any island on the international real estate market. You can head over to their site HERE for more information on Ronde Island and other sites.

This trailer, that you can still fit in a normal garage, comes with everything you might need to throw a great tailgate party. The trailer includes a 27″ LCD TV to watch the pre-game, a satellite dish for reception, CD/DVD player, a 1000 watt electric generator, a propane grill, electrical outlets, a sink with running water, beer on tap and even a toilet. Not enough? The Qube - An Outdoor Room

The Qube is basically another room of the house that you put in the backyard. It can be used as a garden office, garden studio, TV room, kids room, garden gym, outdoor party area or just a place to get away for a while.

The outside is made of Western Red Cedar and the inside is built with structural insulated panels then plaster boarded and skimmed, ready to be painted. The front doors on the Qube are bi-fold aluminum that can be fully opened, and the floors can have a laminate flooring, solid oak or carpeted finish

The company that makes these will create them in just about any size you want, and there are a number of options. You can add a kitchenett, a second story, or a rooftop deck just to name a few. They can also be connected to your electricity, gas, or water allowing you to make it a comfortable as you want it to be.

The Qubes are made in the U.K., and at the moment are only available there. I'm sure they would give you a quote though to ship one out to where ever you are. You can hit their main site HERE to look around.

The Aquapub

Talk about the perfect idea if you're having a pool party. The Aquapub is an unsinkable table made of a new material that's as rigid as wood, but as light and upkeep free as plastic. It has six seats which are connected to the table, six cup holders, two removable containers in the middle and topped off with a removable sun shade. The Aquapub also does double duty since it can be used as just a regular table outside the water.

The Aquapub needs only 30 inches of water to float in, and can support 250 lbs. per seat, and a total of 1500 lbs.. The table is about seven feet in diameter and can be used in pretty much any body of water. You can head over to the main Aquapub site HERE to get all of the details.

Aerotrekking - Ultralight Flying

John McAfee, the man behind McAfee anti-virus software, has found a passion for flying. The idea of Aerotrekking is to follow the terrain, often just a few feet above the ground, to visit places that could never be reached on foot or by car.

The low-altitude flight in aerotrekking is made possible thanks to the Air Creation, four-stroke kite-wing planes. The planes are powered by a rear propeller and guided by a steering bar at the pilot's fingertips. The planes have a range of 300 miles, can reach up to 115 mph or glide just above the landscape at a minimum speed of 25 mph.

McAfee, a Tucson resident, has spent nearly $12 million so far developing a network of eight aerotrekking bases in isolated parts of Arizona and New Mexico for his exclusive club, The Sky Gypsies, that has about 150 enthusiasts. The bases are part of a 1,100-mile circuit that run from Truth or Consequences, N.M., to Rimrock near Flagstaff.

Membership in the club can run from $1,000 to $200,000 depending on the membership package, and the planes themselves run from $30,000 to $120,000, depending on model and quality. You can read more about the Sky Gypsies at their site HERE, more about McAfee's passion HERE, or look into buying your own Air Creation ultralight HERE.
