SoWine bar from EuroCave

I've seen a few of these before, and this one also looks pretty good. If you're a wine drinker, something like this is great to have if you want to save an open bottle of wine for later in the week. Here's the details from the site:

The SoWine Bar from EuroCave can keep fresh two bottles of opened wine for up to 7 days at the perfect serving temperature. The SoWine has two separate compartments that can be independently selected, with factory settings for both white and red wines. Since the compartments are independent of each other, you can have either two bottles of red, two white or one of each preserved and ready to go. The push down pump on top of the SoWine seals you're open bottle, ensuring the perfect vacuum to prevent oxidation of the wine.

You can read more about it over at the EuroCave site HERE.

Maxim Hometown Hotties Finalists

The contest started out with 1000 hopeful women, and is now down to just ten finalists. Each finalist has a new photo shoot and video up for you to take a look at, and then vote for your favorite.

I was a little surprised at some of the finalists. It's not that they're bad at all, far from it, I just wouldn't have pick a few of them to make the finals out the one hundred semi-finalists. There's also a few girls that looked a lot better in their original photos, than in the newer ones.

Regardless, you can head over to the Maxim site HERE to check out the finalists and cast your vote.

The new Tivo id a new HD version that will let you save up to 150 hours of HD programming at a time. While an HD Tivo isn't new, this one give the you a few new added features such as THX certified premium sound, let's you record two shows at once in HD and you can use it to replace your cable box using one or more CableCard decoders.

Tivo has several other things that add to the experence of having a real Tivo, rather than a cable company knock off. Things such as letting you download thousands of new release movies, transfering recorded shows to your computer or portable media player with TiVo Desktop software, play music from your computer or the Internet and search for shows and schedule recordings from tivo.com.

It received a 91 points Wine Spectator who stated: "Lovely aromas of candied berry, coffee and citrus pick up a mineral accent as this glides across the palate. Ask Men Surveys

The web site AskMen.com has recently done two surveys, one for women and one for men. The male questions cover Lifestyle, Dating, Sexuality and Power & Money. The female questions are a little more basic (it is called AskMen after all) and they just cover women's sexuality and dating trends.

I don't think that anything in here is going to be all that shocking, but it might be interesting to match your answers up and see where you stand on some issues against everyone else.

You can find the men's survey HERE, and the women's HERE.

G4’s Hottest Girls Of The Web

G4 has a series called Women of the Web, that does the obvious from the title, talk about hot women on the net.

One of their recent installments, now up in their video feed area, was a pretty impressive top ten list. G4 states "There's no shortage of hot women on the internet, but we've got the absolute hottest. Forget the anonymous, barely clothed models you saw on various banner ads yesterday. Today's women have them outclassed."

You can see all ten in the video, including Nicky Whalen featured in the picture on the right, over at the G4 site HERE.

Hopefully this should hold you until the top ten finalists of the Maxim Hometown Hotties are announced next week.

Also, this probably isn't the best thing to do at work, but hopefully you knew that already.

The 11 Biggest Poker Blowups

Bluff Magazine has a list of the 11 biggest poker blow ups of all time. Of course over half of them involve Phil Hellmuth. The bonus is that not only do they give you a pretty detailed description of what happened, all but one of them also have video of the event.

My favorite is from High Stakes Poker, where Hellmuth is up against Negreanu, and pretty much just acts like a calling station. After the hand, there's a few moments of silence from Phil, and then a full 10 seconds or so of bleeps as he curses. The Number one is of course Mike Matusow's complete meltdown at the 2004 WSOP Main Event.

You can read and see them all over at Bluff Magazine HERE.

Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De La Hoya Official

I'm already reading a lot about how Oscar may just be too big, with Pacquiao giving up five inches in height, and about six inches in reach. Stranger things have happened though. Here's the official line:

The wait is over and the fight is on. . .Olympic gold medalist and 10-time world champion “The Golden Boy” OSCAR DE LA HOYA will face current Ring Magazine No. 1-ranked pound for pound champion MANNY “Pacman” PACQUIAO on Saturday, December 6 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada in a bout that will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View.

Presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, Inc., the bout will be a 12-round, non-title fight contested at the 147-pound welterweight limit. This exciting and intriguing match-up pits two of the most recognizable and popular talents in the sport today in what will surely be the grand finale of the 2008 boxing calendar year.

“Manny Pacquiao is considered the best fighter in boxing today and I always want to fight the best,” said De La Hoya. “I am glad we were able to make this fight happen because while Pacquiao is at the pinnacle of his success and has defeated all of the top fighters he has faced, I am going to show the world that it stops with me. December 6 can’t get here soon enough.”

“This is my greatest challenge,” said Pacquiao. “When I take that walk to the ring to fight Oscar, I will carry all the people of The Philippines - the entire country - on my shoulders. I promise I will fight with all of my heart and that I will give everything I have. Like my trainer Freddie Roach says, I have what it takes to win the biggest fight of my life.”

Oscar de la Hoya has been a fan favorite and the most successful pay-per-view attraction in the history of the boxing. A 1992 Olympic Gold Medalist for the United States, de la Hoya (39-5, 30 KOs) is a champion in every division he has competed in from 130 to 160 pounds and has faced boxing’s elite for over 15 years, including Floyd Mayweather, Julio Cesar Chavez, Bernard Hopkins, Shane Mosley, Felix Trinidad, Pernell Whitaker, Ike Quartey, Fernando Vargas, Arturo Gatti, Genaro Hernandez, Jesse James Leija and Hector Camacho Sr. In his fight against Mayweather on May 5, 2007, he fell short via a close split decision, but set records with the fight having the most pay-per-view buys and grossing the most revenue in the history of boxing. In his last fight against Steve Forbes on May 3, 2008 De La Hoya registered a dominating unanimous decision victory, winning nearly every round of the fight which took place in suburban Los Angeles at the outdoor Home Depot Center soccer stadium, another first for boxing’s star attraction.

Manny Pacquiao (47-3-2, 35 KOs) is recognized by most knowledgeable observers as the best fighter at any weight in the world today. Pacquiao, 29, has held world titles in four weight divisions, winning the WBC flyweight world title two weeks before his 20th birthday in December of 1998, the IBF junior featherweight world title at age 22 in 2001, the WBC super featherweight world title in March of this year and most recently the WBC lightweight world title in his last fight on June 28 against defending champion David Diaz.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim

JustLuxé has up a pretty decent almost ten minute video of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, held at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. The annual event coincides with the swimwear industry's largest tradeshow, and they talk to several designers, while showing you the woman walking the catwalk in the suits they designed.

You can hit the site HERE to watch the video.
