Ah concept vehicles. Super cool things we wish we could buy, but probably won't ever be able to.
This bike concept is from designer Mohammad R Shojaie, and is called The Ostoure (which means Legend in Persian). There's not a whole lot else about the bike, since it's really only a computer model. He does mention that the design of the bikes frame will make it lighter, a high performance suspension system, and three radiators.
He also wants the bike to come with a compatible with a helmet that has a HUD system in it. The HUD would display vital information from the bike, such as speed, fuel level, and so on, eliminating the need for dials on the bike itself.
You can check out more pictures of the bike at the Carbodydesign.com site HERE.

Parker Brothers Choppers is creating five custom bikes for the upcoming Tron: Legacy movie. The bikes are currently up on Ebay HERE. You'll have to be quick about it though, as it ends in about 24 hours. Below are the details:
From the Builders of the now famous "Batpod" replica recently listed here on ebay comes the next exciting movie bike from the big screen. The new Tron Legacy movie will hit theaters in December of this year and the lightcycle sequence will be the hit of the movie. To celebrate this historic event, the Parker Brothers team is building 5 custom one off "Lightcycles" to the exact specs of the movie bikes. Each bike will be black with an accent color – 5 bikes with 5 different accent colors (red, blue, yellow, green, and orange). There will only be one bike made per color so if you must have a certain color, you better call now. This is a first come first serve project so don't delay. Disney designers built a "movie prop" of this bike for the TRON Legacy promotions and not a running version so these will be the only known running versions to exist. The engineering behind a fully functional version is mindboggling to say the least.
Now, about the bikes themselves, the wheels are custom made 22" x12" dual hubless wheels with custom made tires (Hoosier is custom making 5 sets just for us specifically for this project). (Buyers will have the option of additional tires as needed) The frame is 2" cold rolled and boxed hardened steel with carbon fiber/fiberglass bodies. Accent colors are neon glowing from behind frosted plexiglass and can be turned off or on with the flip of a switch.
Unlike the "Batpod" replica, the "Lightcycle" is being built for everyday street use. Each bike will come with a manufacterers build sheet and a certificate of title with purchase. Each bike will come with either a high powered electric motor or a high performance gasoline motor and transmission depending on the buyers needs. Be the envy of everyone who sees this bike as it will make motorcycles as you now know them seem like antiques on the road. No future "Lightcycles" will be made to ensure the value of these custom motorcycles in the coming years. They will get individual vin numbers at first order 001 to last 005 as well as the original prototype vin number 000.
The back cover opens up at the push of a button and there is a neon glow that exits from the back of the bike to resemble the lightcycles colored light trail from the original game. These bikes will also come with a TRON style helmet (Not DOT Approved) and all bikes will be available within 6-8 weeks of contract. A nominal deposit will be required to start the build and you will receive a youtube uplink to follow the progress of your individual bike until completion. Please contact us if you have questions and we can iron out the details before starting your build.
Please note, these bikes are offered starting at 35,000 , which is a standard Lightcycle including either a gas powered or an high output electric motor as well as a complete carbon fiber/fiberglass body and led neons throughout. Additional upgrades are available upon request at an additional charge. Serious buyers are encouraged to call Marc at 321-960-0756 to discuss your options. While we appreciate enthusiasm and would love to sell everyone a bike like these, please don't waste our time or yours with lowball offers. Financing is available on most models, contact us for details.
Also, please note that if you are looking for a custom chopper, bobber, pro street or anything else made, we are the company to get it done for you. When everyone else says "It can't be done" we make it happen. Remember our slogan - "If you can dream it, we can build it!" We would also like to thank everyone for their support in our journey.

The front forks are a little odd, but I like the overall look of the bike. No idea of the price, but it's limited to only 250. Here's a little bit about the bike:
Conceived as a counterpoint to the golden era of the 1930's, which inspired beginning design work on the Hellcat, we chose the pre-16 era of motoring and the courageous free spirited nature of the board track racer as our inspirational starting point. Holistic evolution of efforts made to evolve the radial aircraft architecture of our V twin powerplant through the Wraith's chassis platform architecture was mandated. Perfected balance of proportion and evolutionary brand gestalt were referenced. As Brough Superior, Vincent and Crocker most connected emotionally to the Hellcat, the Pierce would illuminate what the Wraith could be; Quite simply, the world's most luxurious, sporting two-wheeled device.

Not sure I would ever wear this, but you have to admit, it looks pretty awesome.
There's not a whole lot of detail on it at the moment, as it's still in the "coming soon" stage. On the upside, it's a licensed product, so it should actually look authentic, and not just a close knockoff.
Here's what details there are from the site:
Devised from the latest advances in armor deployment technology, Tony Stark’s Mark V Armor is vastly more portable than his traditional Iron Man hardware… and now Universal Designs is bringing the Mark V to life as an officially licensed, ‘wearable’ form molded leather motorcycle suit.
We’re going to make the impossible… POSSIBLE!

This would be a great bike to cruise around in. It also has a pretty good look for a three-wheeler. The Spyder is new, and I've copied in part of the press release below:
BRP introduces the new Can-Am Spyder RT roadster in response to specific consumer demand for a touring platform. The 2010 Can-Am Spyder roadster line-up now includes the Spyder RS (roadster sport) and the Spyder RT (roadster touring) models.
The introduction of the touring model coincides with a substantial gain in market presence on the heels of strong consumer demand since the roadster’s launch more than two years ago. Driven by a passionate owner community, the innovative three-wheel concept has become a global phenomenon in more than 50 countries to-date with authorized BRP dealers.
“The Can-Am Spyder RS is already a resounding market success, although, clearly, its full growth potential is only beginning to materialize,” said Yves Leduc, vice-president – general manager Can-Am and After Sales Operations, responsible for North American Sales & Marketing. ”We are delivering the expansion of our Can-Am Spyder roadster line-up as promised at its launch in 2007 and we believe the announcement of the Spyder RT will even further accelerate the momentum experienced thus far.”
The Can-Am Spyder RT roadster powered by a Rotax 991 engine with Electronic Throttle Control optimized for touring stays true to the brand’s promise to deliver a perfect balance of performance and peace of mind. The roadster features the same acclaimed BOSCH-engineered Vehicle Stability System (VSS) as found in the Spyder RS roadster, which includes Anti-lock Brakes, Traction Control and Stability Control systems. The VSS, coupled with the inherent stability of the roadster’s ‘Y-architecture’ and overall ease of use reinvents riding for enthusiasts of all skill levels.
BRP is also introducing an industry-first optional RT622 trailer package*, providing an additional 622 litres (22 cu. ft) of storage, designed specifically for the Spyder RT roadster and compatible with the vehicle’s stability system.
“The introduction of the Can-Am Spyder RT now provides options for sport and touring enthusiasts alike,” said Chris Dawson, vice-president and general manager, International division. “BRP’s superior design and innovation continues to deliver paradigm-shifting vehicles that push the envelope, and the RT model is no exception. The new platform goes well with what touring riders demand and there is no doubt in my mind the Can-Am Spyder RT is going to forever change the touring motorcycle category.”
The Spyder RT roadster will be available for trial at authorized BRP dealerships this fall. Consumers currently have the option to pre-order Premiere Edition Spyder RT-S roadsters for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2009.

I wish I could have found a better picture of the bike, as it looks pretty impressive. Here's the details about it from the site:
The new Triumph Rocket III Roadster is the ultimate muscle streetfighter. With all the power and ability of the standard model and the biggest torque figure of any production motorcycle.
Coming in two black colour options, metallic Phantom Black and Matt Black, the Rocket III Roadster is powered by an uprated version of Triumph’s iconic three-cylinder 2,294cc powerplant. Maximum power has increased with torque up 15% to a mighty 224Nm.
Triumph’s sophisticated anti-lock braking system is fitted as standard to the Rocket III Roadster and the bike has received a long list of ergonomic and quality improvements over the previous Rocket III.
The new ergonomics give the Rocket III Roadster a completely different riding experience from its predecessors. The new footrests are further back, lower down and more inboard than on the Rocket III, creating a comfortable riding position which non-cruiser riders will feel at home with. The plush new seat sits the rider higher and further forward than before, giving a comfortable and natural leg position while reducing the reach to the handlebars. The result is a motorcycle that is easier to steer through corners than any other Rocket III variant.
New rear suspension units have been designed to offer a comfortable ride, while the main components take on a blacked out appearance for that ‘bad boy’ image. Many components have been taken back to black, including the forks, yokes, radiator shroud and rear springs. New silencers, one on each side, are the final touches. These have been designed to release more power and torque and optimize the aural experience.

I can't really see buying one of these. It's kind of a cool idea, but if I'm putting money into a bike, I don't think this would be it. Here's the press release:
The SS TRIKE Rolls Into Sturgis In Production Mode
Olmax Fabrication LLC., the manufacturer of the SS Trike, introduces the production version of their trike at the 2009 AMD Official World Championship of Custom Bike Building located at Champions Park in Sturgis, SD. The SS Trike resembles the classic "Big Wheel" Chopper-style design that we all rode as a kid, which is sure to put a smile on your face no matter how old of a kid you are.
Builder Jason Nieman is entered in the Production Class at the World Championships and will be competing for the gold with other storied manufacturers like Brass Balls Bobbers and Choppers, OCC Motorcycles, Big Bear Choppers and Big Dog Motorcycles just to name a few.
The SS Trike comes with a long list of race-breed features including composite body, a 24-inch Olmax Fabrication polished front rim wrapped in a Metzler, American Racing 14-inch rear wheels and digital speedometer. In addition, the trike sports American Suspension front end, 6 speed or automatic transmission, and a choice of power from Ultima, S&S or TP.
The popular automatic transmission option features a bullet-proof design lifted from automotive racing applications, which met Olmax Fabrication LLC reduced weight and packaging requirements. The design is sourced from a General Motors Powerglide system that is a current racing standard, which delivers smooth and consistent shifts.
Extending in the race inspired theme is a custom 2 into 1 performance pipe that connects into a chambered muffler. The dual exhaust pipe at the rear of the trike delivers a healthy rumble that is a cross between a muscle car and a sweet-stroking Harley.
The SS Trike is designed to comfortably accommodate a variety of enthusiasts from 5′ to 6′2″ tall in fewer than 5 minutes. Selecting two different seat heights and three different foot control locations is a snap and easy to do.
The SS Trike is available in all primary colors. Additional options include graphics, Wire-Plus digital speedo, air-ride suspension, a solo seat with enclosed trunk, multiple trim treatments and a black or polished engine.
To see the SS Trike in Sturgis check out the production class at the World Championships located at Champions Park in Sturgis, SD.
