I'm not sure what golf or Las Vegas has to do with a airconditioner, but I guess a Vegas contest does get people's attention.
Mitsubishi Electronics is hold a contest to promote their Mr. Slim split-ductless system. The winner of the contest gets a trip for two to TPC Las Vegas, including economy round trip coach class airfare, four nights standard hotel accommodations, standard rental car for four days and 3 rounds of 18 hole golf.
You do have to take the trip before March 15, 2009, and the contest itself runs until August 31, 2008. You can enter the contest HERE.

Ok, I can't say much for the name of this package vacation deal, but it still sounds like a pretty good one. Mancation just sounds like it might actually be a bad thing, rather than a cool vacation to me.

E Ball’s golf simulator offers the most realistic golf experience on the market today.
Players see a huge visual image of a real life situation at a major golf event. They hit the ball at the visual image and highly accurate ball sensors measure the ball’s speed and trajectory accurately as it passes towards the huge visual image of a golf course. In real time the virtual ball takes over and continues its path on the screen. Golfers experience the thrill of making the shot in the big game.
Ever wanted to have your own in-home golf driving range, win a closest to the pin competition with the accuracy and power of your golf swing, or smash your drive down the fairway to win the longest drive competition?
E Ball’s golf simulator allows players to satisfy their golfing dreams.
The golf simulator is used for wood and irons so that players can practice their driving, long iron and short iron game.
The unique ball sensor technology is very accurate and realistic. Users continually comment on the quality and speed of response when compared with other golf simulators.
“Because it is a real-time response there is so much potential.”
Bernie Hobbs, New Inventors
The golf simulator comes in two models.
The inflatable golf simulator - is a new development in golf simulation, perfect for temporary use like during a golf competition. It is setup quickly, is weatherproof, easily transportable and connects to standard domestic power. It measures approximately Length: 7 metres, Width 4 metres, Height 3 metres.
The permanent golf simulator is for commercial installations or in the home. It measures Length 5metres, Width 2.5 metres, Height 2.5 metres.
The golf simulator can be simply converted to handle other sports. As an illustration, one minute you could be playing golf on your simulator and the next using the simulator to kick a goal in football.
You can find the E Ball site HERE.

The Full Swing Golf simulator stands 13 feet wide, 20 feet long, and 10.5 feet high, and lets you play 50 courses such as Pebble Beach and St. Andrews, from the comfort of your own home. I've written about this setup before, and it looks like it's just gotten better over time.
With the system, you hit a golf ball normally, and 688 different sensors and a Windows PC figure out the ball's trajectory. That's then translated to the life sized photo realistic screen to show you where your ball actually goes. Just like it would if you were really on the course.
The simulator comes with a couple of nice additions in it's newest incarnation. First is the practice program that lets you hit drives, approach shots, uphill/downhill shots, and hundreds of other situations. It also shows you the ball's flight, and keeps your overall stats. The second is the addition of online tournaments. You can play 3, 6, 9, or 18 holes, and closest to the pin with other people from around the world.
The price for this much machine isn't cheap, coming in at about $55,000, and you can learn more about it at the Full Swing Golf site HERE.

Irish Spring's Get Fresh In Vegas contest is a good one. Maybe the best one I've ever posted here on Vicepost.
The Grand Prize is a trip to Las Vegas for the winner and three guests. The trip includes round-trip coach air transportation for the winner and three guests, three nights hotel accommodations (two rooms – a bachelor suite for the winner and one standard guest room at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino), ground transportation to/from the Las Vegas airport to the hotel, a gift certificate for four to Flyaway Indoor Skydiving, four rounds of golf at a Las Vegas course, an ATV Excursion for four while in Las Vegas and for the winner only, $1,000 in spending money
Not only do you get to take three friends, but you also get in some fun at the the indoor skydiving, the golf, and the ATV excursion, AND a grand to spend. Very nice.
The contest is a long running one, and ends on July 1, 2008. You can enter HERE.

GolfBuzz is an online golfing community with some added perks. There's the usual things like member reviews of golf courses, lists of golf courses in your area or maybe where your going on vacation, and a forum section to discuss the game, swap stories, or whatever. One of the nice things is that as a member, it will also keep track of your game, get you personalized directions to a course, and et you find other players around your skill set to play a round or two, and even blog about your golfing adventures. It's free to join, though it doesn't really say up front if there are any fees for some of the better perks. You can find the site HERE.

The new Suunto G6 has been created to help golfers with getting the perfect swing. After each swing of a club, they watch records the tempo, rhythm, backswing length and speed. This feedback helps identify the best shots, helping to identify what you need to work n, and thereby developing muscle memory to repeat only the good shots. After each round of golf, the players can analyze their overall consistency.
To further help out your golf game, the watch also memorizes information such as scores and handicaps. After the round you can then analyze your game with Suunto Golf Manager PC software to identify the areas that need improvement.
Finally, the watch also does all of the usual features such as the time, date, alarm, and a stopwatch.
You can get all the details at the Suunto site HERE.

The great people over at ProductDose have an article on the SkyCaddie G4. The idea is pretty simple, instead of street maps and all of that, it comes loaded with maps golf courses. Once you get to your ball (or find your ball which is usually the case when I play), the SkyCaddie will tell you how far to the pin you are, and more importantly, if there might be water or bunkers between you and the green.
A great added feature to the unit is that you can also map the course yourself, in case you're playing on a local course that's not already loaded. Once you've mapped the course, you can upload it to the SkyCaddie site for other to download, and also download courses mapped out by others.
The unit has a 160×120 monochrome screen, 12 hours of battery life, and is water resistant.
You can find out more by hitting the ProductDose site HERE.

For a lot of us it's the middle of winter, so there's little chance of playing a round of golf anytime soon. With the Full Swing Golf simulator though, you can play the best courses in the world, all year round, even while wearing you pajamas.
The simulator offers 50 courses including such courses as Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. It also has a specially designed practice course with a visual feedback system to help pinpoint your weaknesses and strengths. Finally, it has 18 different modes of play, including such things as a skins game, alternate shot, and a Ryder cup format.
You can learn more about the system at the Full Swing Golf site HERE.
