It seems the Whiskey stone cubes are every where these days, so someone has upped the ante a little bit with stone glasses. Not sure I would get these though. With the stones, you can pop them in a glass, and still hold the glass. With these, it seems it would be like actually holding an ice cube. However, if you're just using them as shot glasses, you could just pop them out the freezer, pour, do the shot, and back into the freezer they go. Though $40 for 4 of them seems a little steep for that. Still, they are cool.

Here's the details about it from the site:

Between A Rock And A Hard Drink

Cooler than cubes, these soapstone shooters offer a new way to chill spirits without the wait (or the ice). Leave a set in the freezer for at least 4 hours before entertaining for smooth shots of vodka or any sips of your favorite spirits.

You can grab them over at the Uncommongoods site by clicking HERE.

Pretty simple idea. Take a bottle, cut it down, make it into a glass. Fantastic idea, and I"ll be buying some. Here's the details:

All BottleHood glassware is created from wine, liquor, and water bottles from local San Diego restaurants, bars and events.

BottleHood uses local craftspeople to turn the bottles into great looking glassware, sold by local retailers back into our community.

Bottlehood’s glassware has a significantly lower carbon footprint as compared to recycled or landfilled bottles. A glass bottle takes more than 4000 years to decompose in a landfill!

It's simple, BottleHood is good for our neighborhoods!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/bottlehood

The bottles come in a large variety, start at about $10 a glass, so go check them out.

I normally just like Scotch in a short glass, but these are quite a bit more stylish. Here's the blurb from the site:

The Glencairn glass was designed with one purpose – to significantly enhance your single malt scotch. The unique and stylish shape is crafted with a tapering mouth for easy drinking that allows you to capture aromas like never before. The bowl is wide to give you a fuller appreciation of the whiskey’s color and the solid base is easy on the hand.

Unlike the other single malt scotch glasses out there, this one takes your very best whiskeys and makes them even more enjoyable. Cheers to that!

The only problem here is that the site is sold out at the moment, and you might have to jump through some hoops to get it shipped to you from the UK when it's back in stock.

In case you can't tell from the picture, the Hopside Down beer glass looks like the top half of an upside down beer bottle when filled. Not only does this give it a cool look, but it has an added bonus in that the glass is double walled, which adds some insulation between your hand and the beer. This allows your hand to stay warmer, and the beer to stay colder, which is always a good thing.

The glasses are $18 a piece, but according to the Sirtified site they're hand-blown, hence the extra cost. Another downside right this second is that they're very popular, and are currently back logged until May.

If you do want to buy a few though, and don't mind the wait, you can grab one over at the Sirtified site HERE.
