Glencairn Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Glass

I normally just like Scotch in a short glass, but these are quite a bit more stylish. Here's the blurb from the site:

The Glencairn glass was designed with one purpose – to significantly enhance your single malt scotch. The unique and stylish shape is crafted with a tapering mouth for easy drinking that allows you to capture aromas like never before. The bowl is wide to give you a fuller appreciation of the whiskey’s color and the solid base is easy on the hand.

Unlike the other single malt scotch glasses out there, this one takes your very best whiskeys and makes them even more enjoyable. Cheers to that!

Features
  • Made of glass
  • Unique and stylish shape
  • Tapering mouth for easy drinking and enhanced aromas
  • Wide bowl for color appreciation
  • Easy to grip design
Specs
  • Dimensions: 2 3/4”W x 4 1/2”H
  • Capacity: 6.75 oz

They're a little on the expensive side at $8.95 a glass, and you have to buy at least six or more. You can check it out HERE.

Skull & Bones 2-Piece DOF Set

This is a great looking set. Really too expensive to bother with, but if you have the money, you should pick a few up. You get a set of two lowball tumblers crafted from hand-blown clear crystal cased in black crystal, detailed with a hand-cut skull-and-crossbones motif.

A set of two costs an impressive $295, and you can check them out HERE.

Bombs Away Shot Glasses

There's been everything from beer mugs to martini glasses made like this, but these are the first cool shot glasses I've seen.

Here's the write up from the Sirtified website:

The next time you plan to party make sure you’re well armed. Our Bombs Away shot glasses are guaranteed to make it a blow-out! They’re made from high-quality double-walled borosilicate glass with a frosted interior finish. Dashingly dangerous. Packed two glasses in a handsome illustrated giftbox.

The shot glasses should be available at the site soon HERE.

Homer Stainless Steel Hip Flask and Shot Cup Set

If you're any kind of Simpsons fan, this is probably a must have. Even if you're not, it's still pretty cool.

The set comes with a flask that has a great toast on it, saying "To Alcohol! The cause and solution to all of life's problems". It also comes with four shot glasses, each with a Homer facial expression on the front and a famous Homer phrase on the back.

The only problem here is that the site is sold out at the moment, and you might have to jump through some hoops to get it shipped to you from the UK when it's back in stock.

You can check out the UK site HERE.

Let me know if there's anywhere in the U.S. that might sell this.

Polar Pitcher

This is an excellent idea. Here's the details from the site:

This pitcher has a steel chamber that holds ice to keep the contents cold at all times. Load the ice chamber up from the bottom, fill the pitcher, and the liquid in the pitcher will be kept cold! You can also fill the cooling cylinder with water and freeze the entire pitcher! Holds 60-ounces.

The pitcher costs $20, which seems like a pretty good price. You can pick up one HERE.

The Hopside Down Beer Glass

There's been several of these floating around, such as the InsideOut martini glass (HERE) and the champagne version (HERE), but it's still a great idea.

In case you can't tell from the picture, the Hopside Down beer glass looks like the top half of an upside down beer bottle when filled. Not only does this give it a cool look, but it has an added bonus in that the glass is double walled, which adds some insulation between your hand and the beer. This allows your hand to stay warmer, and the beer to stay colder, which is always a good thing.

The glasses are $18 a piece, but according to the Sirtified site they're hand-blown, hence the extra cost. Another downside right this second is that they're very popular, and are currently back logged until May.

If you do want to buy a few though, and don't mind the wait, you can grab one over at the Sirtified site HERE.

Animal Shot Glasses

You should always have some shot glasses around the house. Even if you don't think you're ever going to use them, it's just a good idea.

If you're looking for a cool set, these Animal  themed shot glasses would be worth getting. Here's a little bit of info about them from the site:

Shot glasses for the passionate animal lover… or the avid hunter. Either way, the Animal Shot Glasses are made of black glass and balance atop the head of either a bear, bull, deer, moose or rhinoceros.

They're a little on the expensive side, at $54 for a set of two of them, but if you're interested you can buy a couple of them HERE.

InsideOut Collection Martini Glasses

I'm always on the lookout for cool martini glasses and recently ran across these. Here's a little about them from the site:

The InsideOut Collection of barware turns the common knowledge of what a drinking glass should look like on its head. In AMT's collection of barware, the well known and oftentimes iconic shapes of glasses are hidden behind a neutral and discreet outer shape, unassuming and simple. But once you pour the drink, the glass' inner identity appears creating an unusual and highly fascinating effect. The Martini glass is particularly amazing because it is a lot shorter than the usual Martini glass, but it creates a wonderful presentation and is a lot better to hold than balancing an overly wide glass filled to the rim on a thin stem…

Besides the visual beauty, there is another extremely convincing argument: your drink simply doesn't warm as fast as it would in a normal martini glass as you are not touching it at all and if you really want it cold, chill the glasses in the freezer and create an amazing visual presentation.

The glasses are only up for pre-sale right now, come in a set of two for $55.00, and can be bought at the Charles & Marie site HERE.

Crystal Bar Trunk

This is another find from the Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog. I'm not really sure if I would ever want to travel with this, but it's interesting anyway.

This rosewood bar trunk has brass accents and a leather trim. Inside, it is stocked with an array of the world's finest barware in Irish crystal, along with a crystal clock and serving dish. Finally, there's also a four-piece sterling silver-plated bar tool set and eight Versace canapé serving plates.

You would think for the $16,000 asking price they could throw in some good wine, or at least something to make a good martini with, but I'm assuming the crystal is pretty impressive.

You can buy the trunk at the Neiman Marcus site HERE.
