I'm currently in Phoenix at the moment, and will be here for the weekend. Then I'm off to Las Vegas for three days.
On the upside, I'll be on Las Vegas. The downside is that posts might be a little light, depending on time.
I do promise to try and post some things from Vegas, either through the site, or on the Twitter account HERE. I plan on hitting at least four daily poker tournaments while I'm there, and I hope to at least get into the money in one of them.
I also have the hope that I can get into one of the WSOP satellites for this year's first No-Limit Hold'em tournament. It's a small one, with the entry fee being $1000, so there's a good chance that any satellites they have might be around $50, and I can give it a few shots.
I'll try to keep the normal post schedule, but as you could see from today (with traveling and all) that I didn't get anything up until now. I promise to do my best though, and hopefully I'll keep the Twitter account hopping with updates while in Vegas, and have it also post all of that here.
Wish me luck.

Can't say that I have use for this what so ever, but it is seriously cool. Details:

Just thought I would wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day.
I recommend that you have a green beer or two, and then start on the Irish whiskey.
Hope you all have a good time.

I'll admit that I slack from time to time and don't get as many posts up as I like. The other problem is that I tend to make it a point to only post certain things, and it does take some time to track all that down. What I've decided to do is open up my criteria a little bit, and start posting a lot more. While it might not all be high quality, I hope to at least make it interesting enough that you can stop by once or twice a day, and find a few things to read. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of the changes.

I had my OS on a very old drive, and it was causing some issues. I did an upgrade tonight to a new drive, and while I did get everything to work (finally) it did take a lot longer than I intended it too.
There was also some major slacking in there somewhere by me, as I ended up playing way too much Call Of Duty: World At War.
Anyway, I didn't get to write any posts for this wonderful Monday, other than this one, but look for a few things to pop up in the afternoon. I'll be back on schedule Tuesday.
Also just a reminder, if you see anything cool that you think might be Vicepost worthy, you can send the info to [email protected]

The Holidays are that wonderful time of year when everything goes nuts.
I'd love to be able to get some posts up over the next few days, but I just don't think it's going to happen. There's just way too much craziness going on. I won't bore you with the details, but I have more things to do right now than I have time to do them.
I promise to be back sometime shortly after Christmas with new posts. Until then, posting has been suspended until things are a little more under control around here.
I'd also like to wish everyone a happy holiday season, whatever that holiday might be for you. I also hope you get some great loot, and if you do, drop me a note about it in the comment section for this post.
Until I'm back (it'll be just a few days, I promise), just keep checking back here for all the new material.

If you hit the site anytime yesterday afternoon, you probably got a page stating that my web hosting company suspended Vicepost. I, however, didn't see the email until I logged in tonight to write some posts.
I then call said Web Hosting company.
Call #1 – They tell me something is happening with my site, and it's jacking up the CPU usage on the server I'm on. Something with SQl and my databases. I look through everything, can't find a damn thing that would be causing it in an hour of looking. I call back.
Call #2 – They tell me it's my site. Can't turn it back on. Something in there is wrong, and it's causing problems. I explain that I can't find anything, nothing in the last month (other than new posts) has changed about my site. Nope, the guy says it's my site, and then actually starts to go into a sales pitch about "Maybe you've outgrown shared hosting, we have several…" and that's as far as he gets before I hang up. I once worked at a help desk, and normally I try to be as nice as possible to the tech on the phone. Though when you've nuked my site and I'm scrambling to try and figure out why, a sales pitch to get more money from me makes all the nice go away.
I spend another half an hour looking through stuff, even deleting two test sites that I have, just in case. Nothing makes sense. It should be fine. I call back.
Call #3 – I explain everything I went through. I explain that my sites not that big. It didn't get crushed with traffic (though that would have at least been a nice problem). I ran though the database info. All of that.
I get put on hold. For a good little bit. The tech then comes back and explains that they ran a bunch of tests and scripts for my site and found…it wasn't Vicepost causing the problem. It was most likely some other site.
Oops, their mistake. They take my site down for a good 13+ hours, have me chasing ghosts for a total of about two hours, and it had nothing to do with my site at all.
I am VERY unhappy right now.
In light of all the great fun I've had this evening, there probably won't be any new posts until probably tomorrow afternoon.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I wanted to wish everyone a happy one.
I also wanted to let everyone know that I won't be posting this Thursday or Friday because of the holiday, and since I normally don't post over the weekend, there won't be anything new until Monday December 1st.
Talk to you all then.

I normally don't write negative posts, but sometimes there are just things that need to be made fun of.
Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana have created a collection of one-off crocodile bags for men as part of their Spring / Summer 2009 offerings. The One-of-A-Kind collection "blends together the artisan leather tradition of Tuscany with Dolce & Gabbana's innovative use of precious materials," the company notes and crafted out of "the finest mix of luxurious multi-colored crocodile skin in a unique and not-reproducible combination meant for those men who are looking for the ultimate object of desire."
First off, how exactly is this *not* a purse? Second, for your super exclusive one-of-a-kind bag, you'll have to cough up $50,000. You read that right, $50,000 for your "limited edition 1 of 1" bag.
If anyone out there is considering this, please contact me. I'll introduce you to a nice place called Las Vegas, and be happy to show you there's a hell of a lot better things to do with $50k than buy a man bag.

Well, AT&T finally got around to coming out to the house and fixing the DSL line. Of course now there's a buzzing noise on the phone, but that's a whole different issue. The good news is that I'm back to being connected to the rest of the world, and I'll start posting again as of today.
I'll also have a few announcements in the next few days, and hopefully they'll be interesting.
