Some of us aren't that good at following written directions in the kitchen while trying to make something new. Let alone coming up with that new thing to make in the first place. Several sites on the web now offer both written and video instructions on how to make some great food.
The site Gourmandia includes both written instructions, and videos of chefs preparing the recipes. Recipes are divided into categories most popular, by restaurant, by healthy recipes, or by chef. The site also has other interesting things like napkin-folding instructions for an added touch to a dinner party. Most of the recipes are French, or French inspired.
If French isn't your thing, you can head over to iFood TV, where you can print out the recipe, and then watch people make the recipes in their home kitchens. They also have added bonuses like how to eat sushi, or how to core lettuce.
The site Video Recipes Online, is more for the average meal, concentrating on cooking meals that are quick and easy. Each video demonstration gives instructions on how to turn packaged food -products and flavorings into a whole meal.

The Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet has created the Outdoor Artisan Pizza Oven . Made entirely of hand fabricated stainless steel with a baking surface made of professional composite baking stone. The stone heat transfer performance exceeds that of natural stone, and it will never become brittle like quarry stone can after repeated heat cycles. The precision digital thermometer measures the temperature of the stone so you can do both low-temperature deep-dish pizza and high-temperature thin-crust pizza with equal confidence. The 30,000 BTU stainless steel gas burner means the oven is always at the ready, while the integrated smoking drawer imparts the flavor of a wood-fired pizza oven.
You can read more about the oven at the Kalamazoo site HERE.

If you're looking for a good indoor grill that won't take up a lot of room, this would be a good choice. The Breville 800GRXL is a 1500-watt die-cast indoor barbecue and grill. It's made up of top and bottom scratch-resistant aluminum plates that are dish washer safe, giving you 184 square inches of cooking space, or it can be expanded into a 368-square-inch indoor barbecue. The top plate can also be adjusted to six pre-set heights. Lower settings reduce the weight pressing upon more delicate foods like fish or vegetables; higher settings work well for making open-melt sandwiches or heating pizzas or breads. The appliance also offers a "tilt" feature that adjusts the angle of the grill's lower plate, as well as an "angle" position for low-fat cooking, draining fat into the grill's drip tray. It also has a control for the grill angle, another for a 15-minute timer, and a third that controls the temperature from 350 to 450 degrees F.
You can get one at various places around the web, or at Amazon.com HERE.

If you don't mind heights, and want a truely unique dinning experience, look no further than Dinner In the Sky.
Created by Belgian chef Quentin Jadoul, Dinner In the Sky is a 22 person dining table with attached chairs, that's raised by a crane up to a maximum height of 50 meters (about 164 feet) above the ground. You'll then be treated to a catered dinner by the waiters and chef that are located in the middle section of the table. To make sure your dinner is a safe one, a four point harness keeps people in the seats, and the chairs rotate 180 degrees to help you get in and out or to just get a better look at the ground below.
At the moment you'll have to fly to Belgium for the experience, but they will come to you if the price is right I'm sure.
You can read more about the experience, with a lot more pictures, at the site HERE.

That's a pretty impressive title, and not too far fetched when it's being awarded by Restaurant Magazine. They recently came out with their top 50 list, and the place in the number one spot is El Bulli, Ferran Adria's restaurant located in northern Spain, edging out the U.K.'s Fat Duck. The remarkable thing is that both of those held the same spot last year. The first restaurant from the U.S. coming in fourth is The French Laundry in Yountville, California.
Paris has the largest number of eateries in the top 50, with a total of nine. With London second with six, and New York next with four. Country wise, France is first, with the U.S. second, the U.K. third, and Spain and Italy tied for fourth
You can look through a quick list HERE over at Bloomburg.com, or read the whole article at Restaurant Magazine HERE.
