Meatball Grill Basket

I've never really thought "Man, I wish I could fire up the grill and make some meatballs". Yet suddenly I want to see if it would be worth it. Here's the details of the Meatball Grill Basket:

Our ingenious grilling tool gives smoky open-fire flavor to homemade meatballs. The sturdy stainless-steel basket has 12 perforated wells to drain excess fat as meat is infused with flavor and browns perfectly. With the lid closed, the meatballs are held securely in place and out of the fire. The removable polypropylene handle makes the basket easy to turn – just flip it over for even cooking. The basket works with beef, lamb and poultry as well as vegetable mixtures.

I'd love to know how well this actually works. Pretty sure it's a hell of an idea that I wish I had thought of first.

Here's the details from the Home Wet Bar.com site:

Spiked Burger With Beer Sauce

No idea how this would taste, but anytime you put beer and burger together, it can't be bad.

This is part of Food2's Big 10 Ultimate Burgers. I can't say that I was impressed with the list much, because I don't consider "Grilled Portobello Burger with Onion Jam" or "Grilled Edamame Burger" actual burgers, even if they do have it in their name.

This one though, sounds pretty good.

You can check out the recipe over at Food2 HERE.

Outdoor Artisan Pizza Oven

Yes, it's a lot easier to pick up the phone, order pizza, and hang out on the couch until it shows up. If you work at it a little bit though, it's not going to be half as good though. Here's some of the details about this outdoor oven from the site:

Ovens lined with stone and topped by an arched roof are found across Italy for baking pizza and bread. Why? The stone delivers superior heat transfer characteristics and the low, arched top reflects radiant heat back to the pizza for even baking from both the top and bottom.

Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet has taken this classic design and updated it for worry-free outdoor use. The Outdoor Artisan Pizza Oven is hand fabricated entirely of stainless steel, with a painstaking double-wall insulated design. The baking surface is lined with a professional composite baking stone. Its heat transfer performance exceeds that of natural stone, and it will never become brittle like quarry stone can after repeated heat cycles. The convenience of the 30,000 BTU stainless steel gas burner means the oven is always at the ready, while the integrated wood-chip drawer imparts the flavor of a wood-fired pizza oven.

Start a tradition at your home of baking artisan pizza in your backyard. Thick or thin crust, pan pizza or stuffed, even calzones or artisan bread… The Outdoor Artisan Pizza Oven helps you cook like a seasoned professional.

Not sure about the price on this oven, but you can check it out at the Kalamazoo site HERE.

The Bacon Genie

Let's face it, bacon is awesome. It's not good for you at all, but it makes just about anything better. Here's the idea behind the genie:

No more dangerous stovetop splatters, or leaving bacon in a pan to absorb grease. Just drape bacon over the “hanger”—no need to turn it as it cooks in the microwave, and all the grease is collected in the dish below. You won’t even have to drain the cooked bacon on a paper towel! A spout makes it easy to pour off and dispose of grease. Includes tongs for safely removing hot bacon. Comes apart for space-saving storage. Durable, dishwasher-safe plastic.

You can snag one over at Amazon HERE.

The VillaWare Pizza Stone For Your Grill

If this works as well as it's supposed to, this would be an awesome addition for your grill. Here's the details:

Convert an outdoor gas grill into a pizza oven to bake brick-oven style with this pizza grill from VillaWare. The unit features a rectangular-shaped pizza stone set into a stainless-steel frame. The stable, elevated frame provides a backsplash to keep pizzas and toppings from sliding off the stone, as well as a back slot where loose crumbs can be brushed or swept. Offering added convenience, the unit comes equipped with a built-in thermometer for accurately gauging the temperature of the pizza grill. Its unique design allows for baking at higher temperatures than a household oven, resulting in pizzas with superbly light, crispy, and bubbly crusts. The pizza grill can also be used in an indoor oven on cold, wet winter nights, and a user guide with recipes is included. The unit measures approximately 12 by 15 by 5 inches.

The stone costs around $80, and you can grab one over at Amazon here:
