<p>An Old Fashioned with Beer and Bourbon, sounds interesting though I&#39;ve never had Bohemia beer. Anyone out there tried it, and if so, what do you think?&nbsp; Here&#39;s the details on how to make the Old Fashioned:</p>
<p>&ldquo;Oktoberfest&rdquo; isn&rsquo;t just for Germans anymore.&nbsp; Adults worldwide have participated in the world&rsquo;s largest annual beer festival for more than 200 years, since its inception in 1810. But because most of your readers will not be able to travel to Munich for this year&rsquo;s &ldquo;Oktoberfest&rdquo; (Sept. 17 &ndash; Oct. 3), are you planning to offer them options as to how to celebrate at home?</p>
<p>	For example, Chef Rick Bayless&rsquo; &ldquo;Old-Fashioned&rdquo; incorporates Bohemia beer, whose deep, subtle aromas of fruit and roasted barley, will give your readers a taste of the excitement of &ldquo;Oktoberfest&rdquo;. </p>
<p>	Bohemia Old-Fashioned Cocktail by Chef Rick Bayless</p>
<p>	Ingredients</p>
<p>	-&nbsp; 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice</p>
<p>	-&nbsp; 2 to 4 tablespoons superfine sugar to taste</p>
<p>	-&nbsp; 1/2 cup bourbon</p>
<p>	-&nbsp; Ice cubes</p>

<p>Haven&#39;t done this in a log while, and I get these from time to time, so I thought I would start posting them. Though it&#39;s called the &quot;Drink of the Day, it&#39;s probably not going to be every day. Here&#39;s this one:</p>
<p>Contrary to what most Americans think about Cinco de Mayo, it is not Mexico&rsquo;s Independence Day. September 16th is the true Mexican Independence Day and is celebrated with parades, parties, and of course lots of tequila.</p>
<p>	Made from handpicked Blue Weber Agave grown at 7,000 feet in elevation, Tequila Avi&oacute;n is the ultra-smooth choice to celebrate Mexico&rsquo;s Independence.</p>
<p>	Here is a great recipe to celebrate the day with.</p>
<p>	Spicy &#39;Rita<br />

	Owner, Court &amp; Spark, Brooklyn, NY</p>
<p>	Muddled Orange Slice &amp; Jalepeno Pepper<br />
	2 parts Avion Reposado Tequila<br />
	3/4 part Cointreau<br />
	1/2 part Fresh Sour Mix<br />
	3/4 part Fresh Squeezed Lime</p>
<p>	Shake and strain over fresh ice in a partially salted margarita and garnish with a lime or orange wedge.</p>

<p><strong>Directions:</strong><span class="cardtext"> Shake with ice, serve in a hurricane glass. Garnish with a wedge of lime.</span></p>
<p><strong>History</strong>: Bloody Mary was invented in the 1920s by an American bartender, Fernand Petiot at Harry&#39;s New York Bar in Paris. The original recipe called for equal parts of vodka and tomato juice In 1934, Petiot added black and cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce and lemon juice to spice up the drink for New Yorkers when he moved back to the States and worked at the King Cole Bar, St. Regis. Petiot notes, &quot;one of the boys suggested we call the drink Bloody Mary because it reminded him of the Bucket of Bloody Club in Chicago, and a girl there named Mary.&quot;<span class="normal">
<p> Since then, enterprising drinkers have added celery stalks, celery salt, tried them with tequila, and often suggest a lemon wedge.</p>
