I like the look of this car. It still doesn't really have great range, but it can really move. Here's the quick details:
Audi presents the highlight of the IAA 2009: the e-tron, a high-performance sports car with a purely electric drive system. Four motors – two each at the front and rear axles – drive the wheels, making the concept car a true quattro. Producing 230 kW (313 hp) and 4,500 Nm (3,319.03 lb-ft) of torque, the two-seater accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 – 62.14 mph) in 4.8 seconds, and from 60 to 120 km/h (37.28 – 74.56 mph) in 4.1 seconds. The lithium-ion battery provides a truly usable energy content of 42.4 kilowatt hours to enable a range of approximately 248 kilometers (154 miles).

This is still at the top of my list of car's that I want. The Spyder has been hitting the car shows, and you can check out the whole press release, along with a number of other pictures, over at Autoblog HERE.
Here's a little bit about the car:
The V10 engine produces 386 kW (525 hp) and launches the open-top two-seater to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 4.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 313 km/h (194.49 mph). Featuring technologies such as the Audi Space Frame (ASF), quattro permanent all-wheel drive, full-LED headlights and with an innovative seatbelt microphone available as an option, the R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI quattro is the new top-of-the-range Audi.

This is a very cool concept. Here's the basic idea:
The AMATOYA concept will introduce a new class of vehicle to the field of fire appliance design; capable of reconnaissance and suppression, the proposal may gradually shift the way authorities approach modern fire fighting. Research indicates a need to develop an advanced and highly specialised light tanker. It must function primarily as a reconnaissance vehicle while providing unparalleled vehicle and crew safety/survivability, maintain superior off road capabilities and possess appropriate fire suppression technology for the purpose of initial response and front line defense.

The CMT-380 is a hybrid supercar that's powered by lithium-polymer batteries and a microturbine engine, set in a Factory Five Racing GTM body.
The car's makers say that it has a 0-60 mph of 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of 150 mph. Plus, you get all that speed, and a good for the environment feeling, at 500 miles per tank of gas.

This is actually a 1/8th scale model. The model is incredibly detailed, down to the details on the dashboard.A little bit about the car's maker:
Since 1985, Amalgam Fine Model Cars has been manufacturing handmade, large-scale car models for high-end collectors. Superb attention to detail and using only the highest quality materials enable Amalgam to recreate the spirit of the original in every model they produce. From the authentic paints and finishes, to the faithfully reproduced decals and logos, to tread pattern of the tires, Amalgam Fine Model Cars adheres to rigorous and unyielding standards of excellence in their reproductions—each requiring approximately fifty hours to assemble.

I've always liked the look of a Lotus, but they just seem way to small for taste. This one also doesn't have a huge engine in it, with only 0-60 time of about 4.9 seconds, and costs $73,200. Still, it's a cool looking car.
Here's part of the press release:
The Lotus Evora will enter the sports car market as the only mid-engine 2+2 in production. Evora is designed for people who desire the exotic sports car characteristics of stunning design, exclusivity, dramatic proportions and performance. However, it offers real-world usability, surprising efficiency and a unique sense of occasion as well.
Powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 producing 276 hp at 6,400 rpm and 258 lb./ft. of torque at 4,700 rpm, the Evora employs innovative lightweight chassis technology to ensure all-around exceptional dynamic performance, in keeping with the great Lotus tradition. From its beginning over 60 years ago, Lotus' consistent guiding principle has been to achieve 'performance through lightweight' and that's always meant all facets of performance including efficiency. The Evora provides unassailable proof of this ethos as the only regular production car in the world capable of accelerating from 0 – 60 mph in under 5 seconds (4.9), on up to a top speed over 160 mph (162) while also delivering 30+ miles per gallon on the highway.
Inside the Evora simplicity meets sophistication in an exquisite combination of detailing and hand-built craftsmanship. By using only the finest leather from renowned experts Muirhead, the interior is hand-trimmed and twin-stitched to create a beautifully tactile and visually striking environment. Genuine aluminum instrument and center console surfaces contain ergonomically positioned controls providing a purposeful drivers' cockpit. The leather wrapped steering wheel is tilt and telescopically adjustable, flat-bottomed to ease entry and exit and made from ultra-lightweight magnesium to provide super-precise feel through the wheel. The adjustable Recaro seats cradle the occupants and, along with the perfectly placed aluminum pedals, complete the optimum connection between driver – Evora – and the road. The rear seat area is cleverly hidden within the exotic, mid-engine profile of the Evora. An Alpine audio system with available touch-screen navigation, iPod™ (and other MP3 player) connectivity, Bluetooth and other amenities make the journey all the more pleasant. The Evora is a pure sports car that you can happily, comfortably enjoy every day.

The British entrepreneur Arash Farboud has created his own supercar.
The Arash AF-10 has a 7-liter, 550hp Corvette Z06 V8 engine, and a carbon fiber body. No word on it's 0-60mph or top speed yet, but I'm sure that will be coming out soon.
There will only be 70 cars made per year, and they'll cost somewhere around $500,000. There's also a rumor that they're planning on an 800hp and 1000hp version.
You can check out some more information and a few more pictures over at Luxist HERE.

This is a great idea, though it's a little too expensive for my taste. Even as an ultra cool gadget. Here's some of the details:
Are you tired of carrying around another clunky remote control on your keyring, or finding yourself out of range when you really need to warm up or cool down your car before getting in? Now you can remote start or lock and unlock your car just by pushing a button on your iPhone or iPod Touch; using the exciting new Viper SmartStart app from Directed Electronics, the leader in vehicle security and remote start.
The simple graphical interface gives you control over the following features of your installed Viper remote start or security/remote start system:
Lock/arm – Unlock/disarm – Remote car starter – Trunk release – Panic or car finder
You can also control multiple vehicles – great for families! – and assign more than one user to control a vehicle. It's easy with SmartStart!
If you already have a Viper system, this upgrade will cost you $300. If you have to start from scratch, it'll set you back $500.
You can check it out HERE.

Caccia Custom Cars took a 2002 Chevy Camaro and a 2002 Chevy Corvette melded the two together to create Ghepardo. The car uses the Camaro's frame and the Corvette's motor and suspension.
There's not a lot of other information on the car, and it's probably a one of a kind car. I've also read that the interior is pretty horrible. Regardless, the car looks great.
