Camus Cognac has unveiled the first in a series of new limited editions, Camus Cuvée 3.128, its first super-premium offer. The new line is a blend of three unique eaux de vie from leading vineyards belonging to one family.
This will be a limited edition, with only a total of 3,068 bottles being made. Each bottle is a Baccarat crystal decanter designed by renowned French artist Serge Mansau. Once this batch is sold out, another new limited edition will be created, mixing a range of different blends.
Camus Brand Manager Coralie Alingrin said: “The Cuvée describes an exceptional harvest, and is a phrase used in association with Champagne, so with Cognac it refers to something really special. The number 128 refers to the sum of the ages of the three eaux de vie used in the blend – one is 41, the other 43, and the last one 44 years old. We guarantee that each of the eaux de vie is at least 41 years."
Camus Cognac President Cyril Camus said: “This is an exceptional offer. When all 3,068 bottles are sold we will bring a new Cuvée to the market, each time with a new, rare blend. Using these unique eaux de vie allows us to do something different, but outstanding, on each occasion.”
The price per bottle is currently set to be $2,500.

The 1976 Lotus Esprit from the movie The Spy Who Loved Me is one of the all time classic Bond icons. If you don't remember it right off the top of your head, Bond drives the car off a pier, and it turns into a submarine.
One of the cars used in the filming is set to be auctioned off at Bonhams’ annual motoring Auction Sale at Olympia. The car itself is one of two that Roger Moore drove in the 1977 film. Current estimates say the car will probably sell between $150,000 and $185,000. The auction is set to be held on December 1st of this year.
If that's a little pricey for you, the license plate number AU1 from Goldfinger's car, is also going on the block. Estimates for that are around $100,000 or more.

Not what i would call a great fight, as evident that it's on regular HBO, but I thought it was at least worth mentioning.
Ex-Olympic teammates go toe-to-toe when former undisputed middleweight champ Jermain Taylor (27-2-1, 17 KOs), from Little Rock, takes on former super middleweight champ Jeff Lacy (24-1, 17 KOs), of St. Petersburg, in a scheduled 12-round super middleweight contest.
Taylor, a 2000 Olympic Bronze medalist, won the undisputed middleweight title when he dethroned Bernard Hopkins in 2005, then defended his belt in a rematch, serving notice he was a force to be reckoned with at 160 pounds. Following four consecutive title defenses, Taylor suffered hard-fought losses to current middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik in his last two fights.
Lacy, the first member of the 2000 Olympic class to win a pro championship, successfully defended his super middleweight belt four times before losing it to superstar Joe Calzaghe in 2006. Looking to reestablish his game, Lacy is now on a three-fight win streak.
The fight this Saturday night, November 15th, at 10:15 PM ET on HBO.

It took some digging to find out what little I did about Glenmorangie's newest, and currently the most talked about, whiskey.
Signet is created from a blend of mature aged whiskeys from Glenmorangie's archives, with a high roasted "chocolate" malt, giving extraordinarily rich, dark and powerful flavors, with hints of amaretto, dark chocolate and espresso coffee, all in exquisite balance.
According to Dr. Bill, head whiskeymaker for Glenmorangie, Signet is the culmination or 20 years of ideas going back to when he was in brewing and distilling school. The actual experiments involved in creating this whiskey began 10-11 years ago. That’s when Bill, beer drinker and experimental whiskey distiller, decided to tinker with using malted barley varieties commonly used in making beer.
Signet has a portion of whiskey in it (15-20%) made from chocolate malt. Bill describes it as "Whiskey made from normal whiskey malt is like a cappuccino, while whisky made from chocolate malt is like an espresso". Signet also contains whiskey from Cadboll barley malt, the first time this has been used in a Glenmorangie (adding some creaminess to the whiskey). The whiskey is aged in a variety of casks, including sherry and new charred oak, and contains some older whiskeys too up to 35 years old.
Glenmorangie actually doesn't put any age on the bottle, but it's priced like a well aged bottle at around $185.

From the press release:
Ferrari has chosen to unveil the new Scuderia Spider 16M at the World Finals in Mugello in celebration of its recent victory in the Formula 1 Constructor's World Championship 2008. This new high performance sports car features the very best of Ferrari's latest mid-rear-engined 8-cylinder technology. In fact, the Scuderia Spider 16M is faster round the Fiorano circuit than any other Prancing Horse open-top road car yet built. This truly evocative special series model, of which just 499 unique examples will be produced, is aimed at the most passionate clients, drivers who demand both exclusivity and superb driving pleasure.
The Scuderia Spider 16M is available in a choice of two new signature colour schemes: the standard version is black with grey trim, while a tricolour livery is also available as part of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme. The new car also sports a special plaque on its rear grille commemorating Ferrari's 16th Constructor's World title. The exclusivity of the interior is underscored by the silver "limited series" plaque just above the air vents at the centre of the dashboard. Other exclusive features include a roll-bar with carbon-fibre outer shell and a specific new generation audio system that can be combined with the removable customised Ferrari iPod Touch 16 GB with central dock just in front of the dashboard.
From a technical point of view, this car has a dry weight of 1340 Kg (2,954 pounds) (80 kg lighter than the F430 Spider). This, combined with the 510 hp provided by its V8 engine and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.6 kg/hp, means that it delivers blistering 0-100 kph (0-62mph) acceleration in just 3.7 seconds and a superb top speed of 315 kph (195.7mph). A new section dedicated to the Scuderia Spider 16M, complete of technical specifications and images is available online at www.ferrariworld.com.
The coupe is currently priced at $277,000, so expect the limited edition to be more than that.
