The 5-Inch zenPad

Not excited about the iPad?Like the iPad, but not the price of one? Just don't want to own anything with a stupid name like iPad?

Well, this might be a cost effective alternative, though not as big.

It only has a five inch screen, but starts at only $155 for the base model. It has built in WiFi, but 3G and GPS will cost you an extra $25 each. Still, you could grab one for $205 total.

You also get: 800-by-480-pixel resolution;  a touchcreen that has a fast response and works smoothly both with fingers and stylus control; The Stylus is included, and stored unobtrusively in a special small hole carved in the back of the device; Google Android 1.6 OS; Onboard embedded 1GB flash drive; 8GB microSD card included. Expandable up to 32GB; Dedicated RAM 256MB DDR; and a High-performance, low-power Samsung 6410, 533/667MHz chip.

Pretty decent. It doesn't have the coolness factor of an iPad (except for the name), but you could get two of these shipped to you for less than a basic iPad model, so I think that's a huge bonus.

You can read all about, and buy one, over at the Enso-now site HERE.
