Modern Warfare 2
This game is the reason there wasn't any updates yesterday. Since I picked it up Tuesday night, I've been playing the hell out of it.
The downside to all of this is that I've only been playing the campaign, and haven't been able to get into multiplayer. There's currently a bug that got added into the last patch, and at this point I can't get into the multiplayer area.
Which is driving me freaking crazy.
The campaign has been pretty amazing so far. Normally I'm not a huge fan of the solo campaign in FPS games. I usually jump right in to the multiplayer. The campaign so far has had a pretty good story, with an interesting surprise or two. The locations are great looking, it runs smooth on the PS3, and load times are pretty quick. The actors they got to do the voices have also impressed me. There's also only been a few points that have annoyed me so far.
A friend of mine also bought the $150 version of the game, that came with the night vision goggles. The goggles are mostly plastic, but they do work really well. If you have $150 sitting around doing nothing, I'd recommend picking it up (if you can find one).
I'll try to remember to pop in a little more detailed review once I can actually play some multiplayer sessions.
