Jose Cuervo’s 250 Aniversario Tequila

Jose Cuervo is celebrating it's 250th anniversary with a special Tequila.

The anniversary edition is a blend of 5-, 10-, 15-, and 20-year-old anejo tequilas, and a blanco tequila that was uncovered in the Cuervo cellars that's 100 years old. The blanco was aged for three years by itself in oak barrels, then mixed with the others. After thatm the entire blend was aged again for 10 months in sherry casks.

The Tequila will be sold in hand blown decanters and a custom box. Each box will also have a reproduction of the Spanish land grant for the original Cuervo agave plantation.

There were only 495 bottles produced, and each of them will cost around $2,250. If you can find it, it should hit the shelf on November 2nd.

There's a tasting review over at Drinkhacker.com HERE, if you're interested.
