Philips Pronto Home Control Panel
The Pronto is a remote control for not only your TV, but your whole house.
It has 6.4-inch touch screen that displays everything in 640 x 480 pixels. The interface itself is fully customizable allowing you to display the devices and buttons that you use most. Also, you can choose your own backgrounds, icons, buttons, and colors. The device also broadcasts IR and RF, so you can control devices that you can see, or devices in another room or cabinet.
Pre-configured lighting control includes a full on-screen user interface for controlling lighting scenes, moods and individual dimmers. With on-screen feedback from lighting throughout the house, you'll know if the light is actually on or off.
Now, if that were all it did, it would just be a cool remote. However it has one interesting feature that sets it apart. Through 3rd party software, the Pronto control panel can add Windows MCE PC functionality. This means you are able to access any digital files from your MCE PC via the control panel.
All that functionality is going to cost you of course, and the remote runs right around $1000. You can read more about the Pronto over at the Philips site HERE.
