New England Island For Sale
Codman Point is a privately owned island located at the head of Buzzards Bay. The 25-acre peninsula was bought by the Codman family in 1872 for just $800, and is now on the market for the first time in 137 years for $7.7 million.
The peninsula has four homes, accessory buildings, a deep water dock, tennis court, boathouse, and five sandy beaches.
The homes and landscape were designed by renowned architect Guy Lowell and have been exquisitely maintained. The downside is that the homes were designed at the turn of the century, and therefore have no heat.
The peninsula is in southeast Massachusetts, approximately 55 miles from Boston and 45 miles from Providence.
