The House With The Sliding Shell

This is an interesting idea.

A couple and an architect friend or theirs have created a house with an outer shell that can slide back and forth. The idea is that they can open the shell up during the summer months, and then close it during the winter.

The outer shell is moved by 4 electric motors that can move around 20-tons each. When activated, the shell opens or closes in just six minutes.

I'd love to know what it cost to create, but no details on that.
