First Audi R8 V-10 Auctioned Off For $500,000

The first 2010 Audi R8 V-10 available in the U.S. was auctioned off at the Boca Raton Concours d' Elegance recently. While the car only has a retail price of $180,000, the first one was auctioned off for an impressive half million dollars. Also auctioned off was the first Ferrari California which sold for $350,000 (normally about $225,000).

The winning bidder for the Audi will also receives an official certificate of authenticity. The car will be built along with the otherss at Audi's Neckarsulm, Germany, facility, and the cars should start showing up at dealers in early 2010. 

The auction was hosted by Howie Mandel and raised over $1 million for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Florida.
