Indiana Blue Chip Casino Opens New Hotel Tower
![]()
The Blue Chip Casino & Hotel in Michigan City, Indiana has opened their new 22-story hotel and spa. The Spa Blu Tower was part of a $130 million dollar expansion that added 300 new rooms, 60 suites, two restaurants, an event center, and luxury spa.
Rooms start at around $95 (more on the weekends of course), and are your pretty standard 415 square feet in size with the usual amenities. The suites start at around 560 square feet and go all the way up to the The Loft at 1,575 square feet. The Loft has wrap around glass exterior walls that offer stunning views of Lake Michigan, a bathroom with a deep-soaking bathtub, three sinks, and a walk-in shower with dual shower heads and body sprayers, large living room, dining room, and in-room bar. They also state that "All of these extravagant amenities are separated by beautifully sculpted “living glass” partitions."
The Casino itself (which is the important part of course) is still considered a "riverboat", but has 65,000 square feet of gaming all on level. They even have a dedicated poker room, which I think is a necessity.
