James Bond’s 1976 Lotus Esprit To Be Auctioned Off

The 1976 Lotus Esprit from the movie The Spy Who Loved Me is one of the all time classic Bond icons. If you don't remember it right off the top of your head, Bond drives the car off a pier, and it turns into a submarine.

One of the cars used in the filming is set to be auctioned off at Bonhams’ annual motoring Auction Sale at Olympia. The car itself is one of two that Roger Moore drove in the 1977 film. Current estimates say the car will probably sell between $150,000  and $185,000. The auction is set to be held on December 1st of this year.

If that's a little pricey for you, the license plate number AU1 from Goldfinger's car, is also going on the block. Estimates for that are around $100,000 or more.
