Double Cross Vodka
Double Cross Vodka is currently the only Slovakian vodka to be released in the United States, and it's claim to fame is that it's filtered through diamond dust.
The vodka is produced in the 13th century village of Stara Lubovna and is distilled seven times using 100 percent organic, estate-grown winter wheat and mountain spring water drawn from aquifers located 200-feet below ground level. The diamond dust filtration system is said to provide unprecedented filtration capability because of the "unique shape and sub-micron size of the diamond dust particles."
It is then bottled in a cool looking rectangular bottle has no seams and features verses of old-world Slovakian poetry silk-screened on the back, a metal top and a metal Double Cross logo that's derived from the Slovakian flag.
While most of these super cool vodkas probably aren't up to the hype this one is worth tracking down. It won the 2008 Gold Medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition for taste, so there has to be something pretty good about it. It also won the gold for best package design.
It currently only available in New York and New Jersey, but you can of course buy it online HERE, and a bottle will run you $50. You can also hit the main Double Cross site HERE, but a warning, the site plays music that you can't turn off (though it is pretty good actually) so you might want to turn down your speakers if your someplace like work.

There’s actually a number of places in New York that sells it. You’d have to hit their site to see them all, as there’s actually too many to list here.
The site also lists bars and restaurants in the NY area that stock it, so you could go test it out to see if you like it first.
