De La Hoya-Pacquiao Negotiations Off

The De La Hoya vs. Manny Pacquiao sounds like it might be an entertaining evening, but it looks like it might not happen.

The sticking point is, of course, over money. Pacquiao wants a 60-40 split, and De La Hoya doesn't seem to want to budge from the 70-30 split that he offered Pacquiao. You would think that they would just meet in the middle and do a 35-65 split, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Pacquiao has now walked away from the negotiations, and De La Hoya might already be looking around for someone else. Kind of disappointing, because that might have been a pretty good fight to watch.
