Mexico has produced it's first car, and it looks pretty good. The car is set to have a 2.0L engine tuned by Cosworth, and a turbocharger. This should give the car about 240hp, and since it weighs just under a ton, it should reach 60mph in under five seconds, and have a top speed of around 150mph.
At this point though, the car is only headed for the UK, and European markets. The car is priced around £32,999 (about $62K US at the moment) and will most likely be compared to the Lotus Elise and Exige.
You can read more about the car, catch some other pictures and even read the press release over at Autoblog HERE.

The Dunhill Anniversary Edition Cigars have been created to celebrate 100 years of the Dunhill cigar brand, and will be limited to 20,000 cigars.
The cigars will be made in Nicaragua by Toraños and distributed by C.A.O. International Inc. of Nashville. The cigars will have a blend much like the Dunhill Signed Range, but should have “a little more finesse and sweetness,” said Dunhill brand manager Bruce Lewis.
The current plan is to have the Cigars out on the shelves by October.

From HBO (with a little editing by me):
For 11 rounds at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Margarito stalked the WBA welterweight champion, taking all Cotto threw at him and matching it with a relentlessness that broke Cotto down. It was evident by midway in the fight that was close on the scorecards but not if you looked at Cotto's face. It was bloodied early and badly swollen late as Margarito kept beating him down until the champion Cotto took a knee twice in the 11th round until his uncle and trainer, Evangelista, leapt onto the ring apron and stopped the bout.
You can read more on the HBO site HERE, or over at East Side Boxing HERE and HERE. Sounds like it was one hell of a fight. Good enough that HBO is reshowing it this Saturday AUG. 2 at 9:30 p.m. on HBO.

The fight will be held live tomorrow night, Saturday July 26th, at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
They're hyping this one up to be a good fight, and I think that's going to be the case. Both fighters aren't the type of boxer to sit back and let the other guy do all the work. I'm not sure what type of fight this is going to be, but I can see it turning into a slug-fest from time to time. be sure to catch it if you have the chance.

I don't put many watch posts up, but this one caught my eye. Here's the press release:
Introducing the TAG Heuer SLR Calibre S Laptimer 1/100th of a second Chronograph! The TAG Heuer SLR Calibre S Laptimer Chronograph (47mm) is the first SLR that is not a limited edition. An important new permanent entry in the TAG Heuer catalog, the Laptimer 1/100th also represents a new advancement in TAG Heuer's exclusive Calibre S movement. The revolutionary Calibre S has been further evolved to create a unique motor-racing inspired mechanism: combining1/100 th of a second "flyback" chronograph, memory and indication up to 20 laps, and direct access to best lap time, the new chronograph meets the highest expectations of the true racing aficionado. Like the revolutionary and Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix awarded Microtimer in 2003, it's not only an ultra-accurate wrist chronograph but also a timekeeping system on the wrist, this time with analog time indications display. Along with the Carrera Calibre 360 and the Link Calibre S, the SLR Calibre S Laptimer is TAG Heuer third 1/100th second analog chronograph, making TAG Heuer more than ever the master of ultimate precision in the field of luxury watches.
No word on price yet, but since it's not a limited edition, my guess is it won't be astronomical.

All you have to do is subscribe to the CigarJack email updates and leave a comment to the post saying you subscribed. You can find the post HERE.
CigarJack said that the Graycliff 1666 was "strong enough to settle any stomach, but somehow it doesn’t seem overpowering. Versatile enough to satisfy many palates. One of my new favorites." So it sounds like it's well worth winning. The contest ends July 31st, 2008.

Lotus has revealed the new name of its latest model, a 2+2 GT that made its official debut today at the London Motor Show. The car will from now be known as the ‘Evora’ (named after a city in Portugal) and it joins the ranks of Lotus’ existing models, including the Elise, Exige and Europa. The new Evora is the first all-new car from Lotus since the introduction of the Elise back in 1995, and it’s the only sports car on the market with a mid-engine layout and a 2+2 seating configuration.
Powered by a 3.5L V6 producing 276hp, it's maximum speed is said to be around 161mph, with a 0-60mph time of less than five seconds. This model will be more for the look and luxury, than just speed.
You can read more about the car over at Motor Authority HERE.
