National Geographic Watches

National Geographic uses its 119-year history of experience in exploration for a travel inspired collection of watches.

“The 2007 watch collection is inspired by our explorers and photographers on assignment around the world. Our Signature, Pioneer and World Traveler watches deliver precise timekeeping, design elegance and a full complement of features for the diver, adventurer, traveler, photographer or explorer,” said John Dumbacher, senior vice president of licensing for National Geographic.

National Geographic Signature pieces for spring 2007 include the Pharaoh and the Mega Steel Diver for those who demand as much from their equipment as they do from themselves.

The Pharaoh is a stainless steel watch with self-winding capabilities and luminous hands/indices, and is water resistant to 330 feet. It has a 40-hour power reserve and is encased with sapphire crystal to resist scratches.

The Mega Steel Diver lives up to its name — it is waterproof to 1,000 meters/100 ATM. A Swiss-made timepiece with ultra-precise chronograph, day, date and tachometer with ultra-luminous hand, it has a stainless steel case and a combination rubber/stainless steel strap.

The National Geographic Pioneer Line features the Outlander and Deep Blue series. The collection contains 15 styles and retails from $79 to $349.

The National Geographic World Traveler line comprises the Sierra, Time Trekker and Globetrotter series. Twenty styles are included, with retail prices ranging from $119 to $395.
