Real Rocks For Your Scotch
Coming from the "I wish I had thought of that first" category, is a unique way to keep your drink cold. A company called Sippin on the Rocks is selling highly polished cubes made from imported granite directly from quarries in Scotland. Here's the explanation from the web site:

These highly polished granite cubes are simply placed in your freezer and then are used to cool your drink. We are not trying to replace ice, simply allowing the Scotch drinker a chance to enjoy a different aspect of their favorite drink.
