Kameleon Remote Control

The Kameleon is another impressive remote control for those of us with five or six sitting next to us on the couch. The Kameleon comes in two models, an 8-in-1 and a the 5-in-1. Both remotes are able to control your TV, DVD, Satellite/Cable/DVB-T, amplifier, CD, PVR, and VCR. Once you choose the device that you want to control, the 'no clutter' key system means that only the keys of the active device are illuminated. One of the unique things about the remote is that it's a touch screen with keys that even have animations, but also has a tactile feedback so you can tell when you push a button. Lastly, the Kameleon is future proof, in that it can be updated via an internet connection, so you don't have to worry about it becoming obsolete next time you buy something new.

You can read more about the Kameleons at their site HERE.

The Home Flame Collection

Radius Design has created the Home Flame Collection which runs on a bio-ethanol fuel. Each piece of the collection has a patented combustion chamber with a ceramic foam inside that guarantees a constant flame. By using the bio-ethanol fuel it allows free-standing operation wherever you would like to place them, with residue-free burning.

The collection has two different setups for hanging on a wall, and two that can be used for the middle of a room.  The units run between about $430 and $1295 depending on the model.

You can read more about the models at the Radius Design site HERE.

The DiMora Natalia

The Natalia SLS 2 sport luxury sedan, being built by DiMora Motorcar, will be the world's first $2 million production automobile. With the high price tag will come a number of innovations to make it worthy of that much money.

The Natalia will have a Volcano V16 engine that will produce 1200 horsepower, a fuel system that is said to increase gas mileage while boosting performance and decreasing emissions to the point that a catalytic converter should not be needed, four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering, an optional feature of the paint will be to allow the automobile to change from black or blue depending on the outside temperature, night vision built into the heads-up windshield display, headlights that double as a video projector, a built in wireless computer, a retractable TV screen and bar for the passengers, thermally-controlled cup holders and computerized rear seat massage.

Sounds like it should be a pretty impressive vehicle. You can read more of the details of the car at the DiMora Motorcar site HERE.

Boomerang Vodka

Foster's Wine Estates has created a 100% grape based vodka named Boomerang. The grapes are Chardonnay grapes from the Barossa Valley and the vodka is five times distilled, charcoal filtered and bottled close to its source in South Australia.

Vintner Chris Williams believes Boomerang will be the next boom drink on the international market. "As a sector I think it's an area that has a huge potential," he says. "There are (grape) surpluses, depending on the varietals, in various parts of the world. So it wouldn't surprise me to see a grape-based vodka out of Chile, Argentina (or) South Africa.

"I also think the quality is better (than grain-based vodkas) and, to be very honest, not every country producing grapes is putting every grape into a bottle of wine."

Bottles of the new spirit are set to be priced around $19.99 and should already be showing up on shelves.

Ferrari FXX Evoluzione

Ferrari unveiled a new, modified version of the super-Enzo during this past weekend's Ferrari World Finals at its Mugello race track in Italy. The FXX program places "client test drivers" behind the wheel of developmental test beds to try out new equipment for Ferrari.

The FXX Evoluzione has extending the program by an additional two years, adding 35,000 kilometers worth of telemetry from the 20 cars, for engineers to tweak and sharpen the car's capabilities. Final output has been boosted to a staggering 860 HP, with the redline at 9,500 rpm, and shift times are down to a mere 60 milliseconds.

You can read more about the program, the car, and see some more pictures at the Autoblog site HERE.

Portable Bar

The Mobile Bar from designer Evelyn Wendel lets you take your drinks on the move with you. The unit has 3 compartments, each with a grey laminated shelf each, is wheeled with brakes and has a stainless steel top shelf. The Bar is further made mobile by being painted with car paint. You can choose from two different sizes, and I'll admit the price is a little high for what you get. The small bar comes with 2 compartments for $2,839 and the large bar sells for $3519. On the upside, it looks like you can get the bar in over 50 different colors.

You can read more about the Mobile Bar at The Magazine site HERE.

A New Football League Starting Up - The UFL

I do love football, but I'm not sure that this is a good idea.

The United Football League is a professional American football league being organized by William Hambrecht, a Wall Street investor and former minority partner in the USFL's Oakland Invaders, and Tim Armstrong, a senior executive at Google. Teams are already being set up in Las Vegas, Mexico City and Los Angeles and San Antonio, Raleigh-Durham, and Orlando are being considered for franchise locations. Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, has agreed to purchase a franchise for $30 million, reportedly in Las Vegas. Eight locations are planned for the first season, and are currently scheduled to start in August 2008.

The league plans to play its games on Friday nights, and they believe that the league will fill its rosters with quality players that go late in the NFL Draft or as undrafted free agents, or players that are released by NFL teams.

CAO Shipping Cigars From Their Vault

CAO, one of the world’s foremost premium cigar manufacturers, announced today that it is releasing 200 CAO Humidors each containing 105 CAO Gold Maduro cigars obtained from the CAO Escaparate (taken from the Spanish word meaning “showcase”).

The CAO Escaparate is a climate-controlled, walk-in humidor-in-the-round that houses over 400,000 prototype cigars and is located at the Company’s Nashville headquarters. CAO Gold Maduro was one of 11 original ‘Concept Series’ cigar blends housed within the Escaparate and received such positive feedback from guests of CAO that the CAO Gold Maduro blend was launched into the premium cigar marketplace as a CAO brand earlier this year. Each of the 200 CAO Humidors will contain 105 of the original Gold Maduro cigars that have been aging within the CAO Escaparate since 2004. The cigars will be comprised of a combination of the following shapes: Corona, Robusto, Corona Gorda, Churchill, Torpedo, and Double Corona. The humidors and cigars will begin shipping to select retail tobacconists across the country in November.

Find The Stolen Laptop, Get Free Beer for Life

The owners of the small New Zealand-based brewery Croucher Brewery Co. recently had their Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop stolen. The laptop isn't all that impressive, but it does have some valuable company information on it. Since the owners didn't have a lot of spare cash to offer as a reward for it's return, they decided to offer something that might be even more valuable, a free lifetime supply of beer.

If you are the person that finds their laptop, they will give you 12 bottles of beer per month, for the rest of your life. They figure the total reward will come to somewhere around $18,000 total. Not a bad deal if your the lucky person to find it.

If you do have a lead, you can hit the company web site HERE and let them know.
