Since My previous two posts today were about Vegas, I decided to stick with the theme.
AVP.com and Wilson have teamed up to send one lucky winner to Las Vegas to watch the Gods and Goddesses of the Beach tournament. The winner will receive roundtrip airfare to Las Vegas, 3 day/2 nights hotel stay; and two 3-day passes to the AVP Las Vegas Gods and Goddesses tournament.
Not a lot of information here on where you'll stay, but the tournament runs from September 6 - 8 at Caesars Palace, so the hope is you'll stay there. If not, it's a free weekend in Vegas. I'm sure you can suck it up a little bit.
The contest runs until Aug. 19th, 2007, and you can register HERE.

Vegas just seems to keep getting bigger and better, and Echelon is certainly no exception. The new Resort & Casino will be built on the north end of the Strip where the Stardust used to stand, and will be going up at the same time as the Palazzo, Encore and CityCenter projects. The Echelon will feature 30 restaurant and bars, four distinctive hotels featuring 5,300 guest rooms and suites, four spas, two concert venues, a 350,000-square-foot shopping area and a 140,000-square-foot casino. The project is owned by Boyd Gaming, will take three years to complete, and cost $4.8 billion dollars.

US Airways Magazine is giving away a trip to Vegas. You get round trip airfare for two, limousine transfer to and from the airport, two tickets to KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, two nights deluxe accomodations at MGM Grand, and dinner for two (doesn't say where)
I would have liked to have seen a little more detail about the dinner, but probably not a big deal even if it's a cheap meal. The contest only runs through tomorrow June 30th, so you need to get registered soon for a chance to win the trip. You can sign up HERE.

The Motor Authority has the details on the new 612 being created for Ferrari's 60th anniversary. The car will only be produced in a limited run of 60, and is packed with features.
The car is only available with the F1 gearbox and either Grigio Scuro or Rubino Micalizzato color schemes. The body look is also accessorized by the underbody being painted in Ferrari’s technical black, the headlights and rear-bumper getting silver highlights, 19in wheels, a unique grille and special ‘612 Sessanta’ badging.
Inside, it has a electro-chromic panoramic roof panel with three transparency positions, a steering wheel with a three-position Manettino and engine start button, a unique instrument cluster, plus a Bose stereo, rear-parking camera, TV tuner and cruise control.
It will have the same V12 540hp engine that will get you from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 195mph. No word yet on price, but this probably falls in the category of "if you have to ask, you can't afford it".
You can check out more pictures of the car HERE.

The site Adrenalin is dedicated to adventure. They have a number of trips around the world, and the Air Combat USA based in L.A. is one of them. The trip costs $1195, and is listed as a 5 on their "intensity meter". Here's more about the trip from the website:
"When you arrive you will be suited up in a flight suit, parachute & helmet. Then it is off to the mission briefing, where you learn the tactics and manoeuvres, safety brief, rules of engagements and the physiological effects of g-forces. Fully briefed you'll climb into the aircraft alongside your instructor. With your hands on the controls you will engage in six "g-pulling" dogfights. Your flight will be recorded on video tape and reviewed in a flight debriefing. Groups are welcome. Bring a friend and settle the score. This is an opportunity for the thrill of a lifetime, the chance to take the controls of a light-attack fighter aircraft and engage in air-to-air combat - the ultimate challenge in flying; a fantasy camp for wanna-be fighter pilots. You will fly the plane 90% of the time as you turn and bank through G-pulling dogfights. The electronic tracking mechanism signals “lock-on”, then you press the trigger on the F-4 Phantom gun grip and smoke pours from your opponents aircraft. You’re an ACE."
You can read more about the trip, and look around the website, HERE.

While monitors are getting bigger all the time, using two or more smaller monitors to create several workspaces, or one giant screen, have become popular and useful. Digital Tigers Zenview multi-screen displays use top-of-the-line Samsung LCDs that can be set up in more than 50 configurations of two to eight screens, each 17" to 30" in size. Each set up also come with their Zenview Manager software that enables users to move applications between monitors with a single click, maximize applications across all monitors, and even manage different Windows wallpaper for each screen.
For most of us having more than one screen is more of a luxury than anything else. I will admit that using more than one screen can get addictive pretty quickly, even just for everyday use. Especially if your like me, and usually have multiple things going at the same time.
You can check out all of the different configurations and pricing at the Digital Tigers site HERE.

This is obviously a little late seeing as how were already half way through 2007. The good thing about wine though, is that it gets better with age, so I thought I would go ahead and pass this along.
WineSpectator has a list of the 100 best wines of 2006 which they picked from almost 13,500 wines from around the world in blind tastings. In the end thirteen countries are represented, with an average score of 93 points, and an average price is $49.
The site has not only this years list, but also video on the top 100, charts, and past top 100 lists going back to 1988. You can find it all on their site HERE.
